Dear Perry

I hope that you and all your Leonbergers are well ! Did you already get your new puppy ?

Zazu is really doing well and she is such a personality ! She will play all other dogs tired and she is still full of life ! Even the huskies from my daughter can't keep up and the other day at the stables they all started to play and chase each other. She was so fast that she outrun the two huskies, it was such a scene to watch, everybody just stood around and laughed to see this big girl running and barking around like a crazy thing. She absolutely loves pig ears and chewies and needs at least one each day ! She knows exactly in which cupboard I hide them , and she will stand in front of the cupboard waddle her tail and bark until I give her one. She likes to beg for cheese but her biggest favorite is joghurt, Vitaline strawberry flavour or Kiwi please ! She is very naughty and might even steal a tub if I just put it down on a table and dont't watch her.

The other night I took one out of the fridge , then heard the phone ringing, went to answer it, and when I came back to the kitchen I could't find my joghurt. When I later went into the garden to see what Zazu is doing , I found her next to the empty tub ! Very proud of herself ! If it is really cold, my bed is her bed and she will spend the whole night on it ! The cutest thing to watch her doing is when she has a toy or chewey, she will roll onto her back, all 4 feet into the air and hold the toy or chewey in her front paws and bite on it. She will then suddenly jump up into the air , throw the toy into the air jump after it , catch it and then she lets herself fall down again and roll over with feet into the air again.

She is such a joy to have! Although I cannot imagine how you are coping with 3 or 4 of these lifely creatures ! But maybe yours are not all so full of energy as Zazu !

Keep well and warm regards

Annette & Zazu

*Hello Perry from Moscow !*

How are you and your leonbergers? Hope all are healthy, wealthy and wise!
:-)

Since summer we promised to our Russian and foreign friends and leo-lovers (whom we know and whom do not) to start new web-project or site or portal about leonbergers in Russia.

Why we decided this time?

First of all due to lack of info - for foreigners - about leos in Russia and mainly for Russians - about leo life abroad. There are a lot of web-sites in Russia about leonbergers, but mainly they are not working, old, time and again with information like "We offer you puppies born on .....2005", not creative or mobile, under reconstruction for several months etc !

But Russians want to know more about this breed all around the world.

From the other side - our hobby - trips and we often go abroad with our male and without. And very often we hear questions from foreigners "Why it is so small info about leos in Russia"!

And the third - we decided to start when our male reached some level, became champion of some countries, when we did displasia test and he got a lot of descriptions from foreign judges abroad.

Now he is far in front of all other mails in Russia in competition arranged by Russian National Leonberger Club - "Leonberger of the year" (you will see link at the site) So we decided to unite all our knowledges about the breed and technical possibilities and to make new web-portal. WWW.LEONBERGER.SU

Regards
Olga & Vladimir

P.S.If you want to participate in PHOTO-Contest and fail to register - pls contact and I will explain how to do it! It is very simple! Previous photo-contest was very successful...

Hi Perry!

It really was nice and interesting to read about leos in Africa... ;o ))) And that they are originated from Norway....!!!

Beautiful creatures you have and most wonderful photos... I just love the ones where the leos are running on the beach!!!

There seem not to be very many there.... We do have lots of here in Finland and I do know many from Skjaergaarden's kennel!

I wish you all the best and give my hugs to your beautiful leos!!!

Best Leo regards,
Saila and leos "Jore" Maxigor Migliore and his son "Poika" Havu-Laavun Terva-Leijona

Hellow from Moscow!

We are owners of leons from Russia, Moscow. The breed in Russia is very young - only 10 years old, but we have a lot of enthusiasts, owners and breeders who want to expand popularity of this breed all over Russia. We have web site where we try to input as much info as possible both in Russia and all over the world to introduce this breed to russian as much as possible. We have good contacts with kennels and owners in Holland and Sweden, Germany and Chesz republuc etc. Every week there are a lot of leo events all over the world and we contact organizers and request them about pissibility to input some data to our web site.

Of course for russians Africa - is exotic country to say nothing about such enthusiasts of leos like you. And of course it will be great interes to get acquainted of russian people with leo from Africa, how they live, how they eat, how they act, how they take care abt litters..etc

So I reques your permission to input link to your web page and to make photo seccion about your dogs to input to our web site. Unfortunatelly our web page is young - only we arranged it from summer this year and till now in russian ( it is under translation into english). But very soon we will translate and than I think for you it will be also iinteresting to learn about russian leos. So if you do not mind - pls tell us.

With bst regards
Vladimir
